ABOUT ME

Hi there… I’m David Arroyo — a visual storyteller who helps bring ideas to life through cinematic illustration, concept design, and story-driven visuals.

My work is rooted in narrative. I collaborate with creators, studios, and teams to develop characters, shape worlds, and translate concepts into visuals that feel clear, compelling, and ready to be experienced. Whether it’s building the visual identity of a project or capturing a key moment within it, my focus is always the same: creating imagery that serves the story and strengthens the impact of the idea behind it.

With a foundation in storyboarding for film and animation, and an expanded focus on concept art and high-end illustration, I approach projects from both a narrative and visual development perspective. This allows me to not only create strong individual pieces, but to help define the visual direction of a project as a whole.

At the core of my personal work is RESET — an original sci-fi universe I’m developing across multiple formats, including narrative writing, illustration, and future comic releases. It’s a long-term exploration of storytelling, philosophy, and worldbuilding, and reflects the same approach I bring to client work: building cohesive, meaningful visual experiences.

Alongside my creative work, I’ve spent over seven years teaching concept art at Syntra AB in Belgium, mentoring and guiding the next generation of artists. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate ideas clearly, collaborate effectively, and bring structure to the creative process.
